I skip along the beach,
happy and content,
hair bouncing around my face.
The waves rise like ferocious lions,
crashing loudly at my feet.
A candy floss sky
leaves me breathless –
the sun is now a tiny dot,
engulfed by liquorice black clouds.
The last calls of the chirping birds
echo around me –
what a magical night.
